Happy New Year all, hope you had a refreshing break. We
ended the 2019 year well, and came back to a flurry of
orders. Now its head down for hopefully another successful
year.
Some points to update you:
Bank
Details:
As is becoming the norm, our bank has closed our original branch,
which means our bank BSB details are now different. Don’t
panic, our existing bank reference details will still work into
the future, but it is preferable if you change the BSB details in
your system to:
BSB: 085-437
Acc No: 53-343-9008 remains the same
Lead
times:
These are back to ten working days.
Fax
Machine:
These days we receive/send a minimal number of faxes. We just
keep feeding the fax machine a constant stream of expensive ink
cartridges and receive junk faxes in return. So we have
decided to send the Fax machine to that Abacus heaven.
As of March
1st 2020, we will no longer
offer the service of receiving/sending faxes and all orders and
communications are to be emailed to sales@vandavictoria.com.au
Using
S-Fold on Boldtrak 25 and Flush Fit
The ripple type look is certainly proving popular.
We are however experiencing some issues with the S-Fold on both
the Boldtrak 25 and the Flush Fit track. They both have a
slightly smaller track opening compared with the Boldtrak 32
& 35 and this, together with the S Fold carrier being square
and having a larger width, has in some instances caused the
carriers to jam in the track particularly on longer runs.
We strongly recommend that if you are considering either Boldtrak
25 or Flushfit and require the ‘ripple’ effect, that you use
Wavefold. Wavefold carriers are 24% smaller than S Fold carriers
and are round which allows for better gliding with an added bonus
of a reduced stack back. Another feature is that Wavefold uses
hooks instead of snaps and as such makes for easier installation.
In the interim S Fold can still be used with Boldtrak 32 and
Boldtrak 35.
We have found overall that Wavefold is surpassing S-Fold in
popularity, so please take it as forewarning that as this pattern
becomes more entrenched, we will look to delete the S-Fold
system.
Wavefold
Despatch:
We appreciate that all customers/work rooms have their own
preferences. It would appear that the most common
preference is for the Wave-fold hooks to be included with the
tape. Please be advised, that unless
requested to the contrary Wavefold hooks will be sent with the
tape. This is primarily of importance when the tape is being sent
separately to a workroom.
RBI’s
The introduction of RBI’s (Reinforcing Bracket Inserts) to the
Versatrak double bracket range has proved very successful and we
have received a lot of positive feedback. Accordingly we intend
to add these to all orders involving Versatrak single brackets
with projections of 140mm and over unless otherwise advised. If
you are using the Ready Reckoner the additional cost per bracket
will need to be added to the total for each rod.
RBI’s solve the problem of brackets bending at the wall elbow
particularly where long drops and/or heavy drapes are involved.
